ittdesk works on behalf of Ziggo Zakelijk, and has set up a dedicated helpdesk for Student Experience residents. We will always announce planned work in advance via our website. In the event of unplanned work or faults with a major impact outside office hours, we will announce this via Twitter. It is therefore worth following us on Twitter if you are not already doing so. But sometimes you want to call someone, particularly if it involves a fault that is affecting an entire building or an entire floor. The ittdesk service line is ready to help.

The speed of your internet connection
The speed of your connection is theoretically set to at least 25 MB upstream and downstream. 25 MB is the calculation speed agreed between your accommodation provider and Ziggo Zakelijk. In practice your connection will often be much faster, because not everyone will be using the Internet at the same time. If you want to download very large quantities of data, it’s best to do this at night. This will ensure that the normal speed remains available to everyone. The building has a fibre-optic link to the Internet via the datacentre in Amsterdam. In theory this offers up to more than 80/80 MB. However, we cannot guarantee this because it is affected by simultaneous Internet access.
